Subsidies & Grants

The Home Energy Storage Program 2026 aims to enable households to store the solar energy they generate in a battery and use it when it is actually needed. With the help of the program, energy independence can be significantly increased, and electricity bills can be reduced.

The most important things to know:

  • Up to HUF 2.5 million in non-refundable support for the installation of an energy storage system
  • The installation of a new solar system + battery may also be supported
  • The expansion of existing solar systems is also eligible (inverter replacement + battery installation)
  • The purpose of the support is to ensure that the energy produced is not fed back into the grid, but instead stored and used at home
  • The program is especially beneficial for those who are under gross settlement or are being moved out of the net metering system
  • Non-repayable grant: up to HUF 3,000,000, covering up to 50% of costs
  • Eligible: residents of towns under 5,000 people; open to families with children and retirees
  • Key conditions: at least 1 year of social security, 50% property ownership, no tax debt, 5-year residency obligation
  • Our role: pre-qualification, full documentation, installation, settlement
Typical Case: Rural family home upgraded with solar + battery. With grant and storage, up to 90% of electricity demand can be covered by self-production.
